Are you the same business that was in The Rocks on George Street?

Yes, we are the same family-run business that was at 80 George Street in The Metcalfe Arcade in northern George Street above Pancakes on The Rocks for nearly 40 years. (1978- Feb 2017) You may know us as Lambswool Trader Pty. Ltd or Natural Selection Souvenirs. Members of the Lacey Family are still running the business.

Why didn’t you answer my telephone call? 

We are a very small business and may not be able to answer the telephone.  We will endeavour to return your call or answer your enquiry as soon as possible. There may be a slight delay due to international time differences. 

Why are some things not available? 

We love dealing with our small manufacturers and craftspeople. They are often just one person businesses so due to time or sourcing of materials at times there can be a several week delay or items are just not available.  We will communicate with you to decide on the best (supply) solution.

Australian Made Australian Grown (AMAG) membership.

 We have, since our inception in 1979 supported Australian manufacturers and artists.  We have been paid Retail Supporters of the Australian Made Australian Grown campaign since its re-launch in 2012. This entails – 1) 50% or more of the value of our sales being generated from Australian made or grown goods. 2) Support the aims and ethos of the AMAG campaign. 3) Encouraging awareness by our suppliers and customers of the AMAG green and gold (or black and white) kangaroo in a triangle logo.



Which payment options are available to me?
We accept payments made with: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Paypal. We can make arrangements to accept orders paid for by proforma invoice or invoice.

Can I place my order via the telephone?
We prefer to process orders placed through the website. This policy ensures that we can accept your orders quickly and that your details are kept secure throughout the ordering process. However, we can take payment via the telephone or in person if required.

Can you Gift Wrap?   

Gift wrapping can be arranged using Australian made native flora motif kraft or plain gold kraft gift wrap. Please let us know your requirements.

How do I know the international currency price of a product?

On the left hand side is a + sign (below  “AUD” Australian dollars). Click on the plus and the prices of products will be converted to the currency you choose ( US dollars/Euros or Pounds) which are updated daily.  If in Australia be sure to return to AUD.  If you purchase goods, Paypal or the credit card company will automatically show the cost in your local currency.

Can I order a custom made sculpture from Damien Santamaria? 

Damien makes each piece individually so if you have photographs or want a particular creature let us see what is possible. Absolutely, Damien has made many sculptures large and small.  6-10 weeks is needed but shorter times can be negotiated to allow for shipping.

Can you help with exchange student gifts?

 Yes! We have lots of experience helping students to choose lightweight gifts for their host families and schools as well as providing flag friendship badges to exchange with other students.  We have many useful exchange student gifts starting from under $15 dollars.

Can I return items? 

Please contact us if you have received a faulty item or we have made an error in your order.  We will attempt to rectify the problem and if necessary, will refund the cost of the item and your postage costs.   If you have changed your mind we can arrange an exchange, however there may be postage costs.


Are all your goods made in Australia?

The vast majority of our goods are made in Australia.  All the companies we work with are based here. However, we carry items from a few companies that make products that have no local equivalent.  The items chosen have proven to be very popular and so we have included them but have clearly marked where they are made.

Do boomerangs really come back? 

The returning boomerangs we carry are light, strong and flexible and come with written throwing instructions.   I have taken many people to a large open space and they are immediately able to get the hang of throwing and returning.  Best not try it on a windy day!

What if my item is unavailable? 

If your item ordered is for some reason unavailable, first we will offer a refund, secondly w,e will offer another item (any difference in price may need to be paid.)

Can wooden products be sent overseas? 

All of our wooden and/or timber products have been prepared so that they can be posted overseas.  They have either been heat treated, sealed and or seeds removed from seed pods.  We have never had any problems with wooden goods either with hand carry or the thousands of products we have posted since 1978.

Why is the packaging different than that shown in the photos?

Suppliers change packaging periodically and so some of our stock may arrive not looking exactly the same as in the photos.  We apologize for any confusion.



Do you ship overseas?  

Absolutely, we have successfully posted to 25 countries using Australia Post.  Please contact us to discus your requirements.  All overseas parcels must be insured.

Will there be extra  overseas taxes charged?

In some countries additional local taxes may apply, these are the responsibility of the customer.   

Can you send to a third party? 

Yes, we are happy to post gifts to a third party.  We can also add a card so they know who the gave the gift.

We have posted thousands of parcels all over the world, including our ceramic sculptures so be assured your purchase will be safely packed.

How much is delivery?

We charge a flat fee for shipping within Sydney of $10. ($20. for medium, $40. for large) using Australia Post Courier delivery using Fastway or others can be arranged (charges will apply.)

Can you provide tracking numbers for packages?

Australia Post and Courier parcels have a tracking number which we can provide when dispatched to you.

We try to use recyclable  packaging wherever possible.  Airspace in parcels is filled with crushed newspaper or biofill “bubbles” which will dissolve in compost or when wet.  We use the minimum of bubblewrap when it is necessary for safety, particularly for handmade ceramic sculptures.
